All about  liquid alchemy

Liquid alchemy is a studio recording project which started in 2004 as an experiment in sound and basically Paul showing John how all the gadgets in the studio worked. It evolved form there to the production of our first album "Born of Chaos". Sharon joined the liquid alchemy team in 2005 and her amazing vocal talent helped bring about the sound we have now come to know as our own. We love what we do - hope you enjoy it with us.

Paul Kelly (aka Blue Dude)

I might know alot of words, but Blue Dude knows alot about blue.  I've never seen a man with so many items of blue clothing.  I think it's an obsession.  In fact, blue has permeated every facet of the Blue Dude.  Blue car, blue clothes, blue asthma inhaler (that we sometimes fight over, coz my cat allergy makes me wheeze like an old stove kettle).  But what the man knows about blue, is nothing compared to what he knows about the crazy electronic stuff, and the computers that whir and hum all around us.  Blue dude has opened-up a new world for me, and I'm really diggin the music thang.  And hey, words aren't that important.  I can still get an intellectual conversation on the phone to one of my clever mates.  This is more fun.

John Dempsey (aka The Brain)

It's not often that you get to sit and write something about yourself, and try hard to sense the right words to use when you write it.  I want to say thanks to Yokie for being the sweetest and craziest friend in the world.  Thanks to Kate for being timeless.  Thanks to Ianis for just being strange, but also making you feel that strange is totally normal.  And Kev, for everything else, including having a good, mad brain.  I've been all over the place over the last 28 years, and picked-up alot of quirkiness.  I like things and people that don't take themselves too seriously.  If they make fun of the parts of themselves that they do take seriously, then that's even better.  Life is easy, just chill out.  Have fun and don't be afraid to grow, even if you only ever grow outwards.  Say hi if you want, be good to hear from you.  I really hope the people like the site, and especially the tunes.  See ya...

Sharon Osdin (aka The Voice)

Sharon responded to our advertisement for a vocalist which we put in the RSAMD in Glasgow. She came along to the audition and just fitted in right away. Superb voice (wait till you hear this girl sing!), and a cheeky personality that both the Brain and blue dude liked instantly.
We've been working with Sharon since 2005. The first day we set up a mic we were absolutely gob-smacked at the noises this girl can make. Skanger's Bar - the very first recording is magnificent, great fun and the tonal quality of her voice shines through effortlessly. Wow.
What a stunning voice - its pure, radiant and makes us smile. Watch out for more from this very talented singer not just from liquid alchemy in the near future! Live gigs will be posted here should you wish to catch her on stage.
